FourICT has plenty of experience in system networking using, among other things, web services and APIs (SOAP/XML, REST, JSON). This know-how is very welcome when automating chain-wide iBPMS AuraPortal processes. This is the case in particular with companies that have a complex existing IT ecosystem (such as ERP, CRM, CMS/website). Data from these source systems is required in the business process and information derived from the process often has to be fed back into more than one source system. A link from the process to the IT landscape can be made straight from iBPMS AuraPortal. But in complex situations, it may be preferable to use an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB). That is particularly true where links from the process are required. Or in cases where communication takes place through many different technologies (Web services, APIs, ODBC, SQL, FTP etc.), for which AuraPortal has an integrated ESB available.
In an ESB implementation, the various applications do not communicate directly with the iBPMS, but always via the ESB. The ESB subsequently ensures that the message sent is delivered to the appropriate recipient(s), in accordance with the appropriate protocol. As a result, your interface complexity is centralised in the ESB. This makes it easier and less expensive to maintain and manage the system. Our ESB solutions work seamlessly together with iBPMS AuraPortal. Data can be drawn from or, indeed, information saved to your source systems at each step in the process. The ESB is, in effect, responsible for the actual technical orchestration of this.
FourICT has the following ESB expertise at its fingertips: AuraPortal Service bus and Microsoft Biztalk.
